Ann Budd just released a little pattern book with Quince & Co. called Five Easy Pieces. It includes five patterns — one each for a hat, scarf, mittens, gloves and socks — with instructions for how to work them in each of Quince & Co.’s yarns, which range from fingering to chunky weight.
They’re really pretty, textured patterns that should be a lot of fun to knit, whatever weight you choose. I think the Textured Rib Gloves may be my favorite.
The patterns are not available for individual purchase; the PDF of all the patterns is $15. But with the wide range of options it gives you, you can knit these five pieces over and over in lots of different ways for a long time to come.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
