The beautiful Flying Fox Shawl was designed by Ukrainian designer Olga Gotham and is available for purchase as a standalone pattern or a kit from Lion Brand Yarn.
The company has announced that through April 8, 2022, all sales of the pattern and a portion of sales from the yarn will go to Nova Ukraine, a nonprofit helping with humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
They have a special kit using blue and yellow yarn, but you can choose whatever colors you like and know that you are supporting a great cause.
Check out the pattern and kit at Lion Brand.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
Something seems off in the pattern- I have started it a number of times but the numbers in the early rows don’t work. What am I doing wrong?
I have a problem too. I have knitted two of these shawls and they are beautiful and I love them. But there is a serious problem with the lace knit section at the center where the increase comes. I have just used my imagination to make it work but it is clearly an error in the pattern.
