Free Pattern: Anchors Away Top for Kids

July 3, by Sarah White. 1 Comment

anchors awayTanis Gray says that summer reminds her of the ocean, which I completely agree with even though I live in a landlocked state and have only spent one summer in a beach community. But I still love the nautical look for summer, and it’s particularly cute in kids’ clothes, like Gray’s Anchors Away Pullover.

This cute little number is worked in blue and white stripes of Cascade Yarns Ultra Pima Fine, and is available in one size, 22 inches (which she says fits 12 to 18 months, but that’s a pretty roomy fit and it would fit bigger kids more snugly). The bottom of this raglan sleeved tee is decorated with a  wave pattern and a row of anchors all worked in stranded knitting for ease.

It’s available via a free download from Ravelry.

The sweater is adorable but it only comes in 12 months size and I am not adept enough to make it a size 2!!!
