The folks at Purl Soho are celebrating the launch of their Super Soft Merino yarn by knitting up a storm with it. They’re reimagining some old classic patterns in this chunkier yarn as well as developing some new ones to get us all excited about trying what looks like a pretty, lofty, warm yarn.
One of the patterns that’s been released is the Chevron Baby Blanket. The original version of this pattern uses a single strand of yarn while the original, which was worked in cotton yarn, used two strands held together. The coloring is also a bit different in this version, which uses five different colors for a funky, modern look.
The chunky yarn also makes this a thick blankie that could be used for play on the floor as well as for cozying up at naptime. Excellent.
