So, it’s totally getting to be that time of year. Time to knit mitts. I like to knit them with leftover sock yarn, or worsted weight, or sport weight, or dk, or. Well, I’ve never made them from lace weight, that would be just ridiculous! My favorite pattern is the Maine Morning Mitts, with some alterations, but these are pretty too. From the P/Hop project.

Not too long ago I did a test knit for another designer that was for a cabled cardigan. It’s really cozy and nice but it just about broke me in a ton of different ways. I couldn’t get gauge, which I suppose is my own problem, but mainly I was somehow both bored and forced to pay attention at the same time.
