I think it’s a lot of fun to knit jewelry, both using knitting stitches when working with wire and using yarn to make jewelry items.
The High Tea Collar from Purl3Agony (aka Donna Herron) is from the second genre, and it’s a great little pattern for using a pretty yarn and some lace and cabling skills to make a statement piece.
One thing that’s cool about this pattern is that it is closed with a button so you can go super fancy with the button and wear that part in front like a collar, or keep it in the back more like a necklace. This one certainly would be fun for gift knitting or to whip up and wear to a holiday party.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
Love this necklace! It’s not very often you see this kind of thing made out of yarn. #inspired!
