Projects that call for the use of multiple crafty talents are always a lot of fun, so this free bag pattern from Just Crafty Enough is really intriguing. It’s a simple evening bag knit to fit a purse frame, which would be cool enough, but then she got some inkjet-printable fabric, printed a photo on it and used that picture for the lining of the purse!
Of course if you’re like me and don’t own an inkjet printer, you could just use regular fabric for the inside, but if you have the ability to make it the way it was designed, that’s just a really cool touch.
The bag itself is simple stockinette shaped to make the bottom of the bag wider than the top. The shimmery yarn gives it a great evening feel, but it would look great with a silk or even a shiny bamboo yarn instead.
