This time of year I start thinking about all the selfish, cozy knitting. I just want to make myself fuzzy socks and sweaters and wear them while I’m knitting other things for myself while snuggling under a knit blanket.
This super simple sweater dress from KnitCro Addict is the perfect little bit of selfish knitting for this time of year. It’s all straight knitting and worked in Garter Stitch (though you could totally do it in Stockinette instead if you’d rather) for quick and easy knitting that’s perfect to do while you’re watching Christmas movies.
It comes in six sizes, but since it’s just straight pieces if you know your gauge you can make it exactly the size you want.
This free pattern is available at KnitCro Addict, and there’s a video tutorial as well.

It’s a common complaint among women and femme dressing folk that our clothes do not include enough (and enough useful) pockets. And even if your clothes do have good pockets, there’s always a chance that you’d rather have another pocket to put some essentials in rather than having to carry a whole bag.
