Dana from Dana Made It calls herself a knitting novice, but she sure knows what is cute. She made her newborn daughter a great chevron baby blanket, and, with the extra yarn she had lying around, added a simple, flat-knit garter stitch baby hat.
The hat does have a little bit of shaping for the crown, then you use the tail to cinch the top and sew back down to the cast on edge. It’s a quick and easy way to make a hat if you don’t have circular needles or just don’t want to deal with knitting in the round.
To make this one even cuter, she sewed a little fabric bow and attached it to the side. Aww…
