Sometimes patterns catch my eye because they’re seasonal, or because they’re clever, or they use a technique I’ve been interested in. And sometimes I just have to give a pattern another look because it’s so darn pretty.
That’s the case with Isabelle Boutin’s Lacy Trails Shrug designed for NaturallyCaron.com. This lace lovely is for experienced knitters who are comfortable working allover lace patterns, doing shaping in lace and completing intricate finishing (setting in sleeves can be a little tricky — even more so when they’re worked in a lace pattern).
But the knitter who takes on this challenge will be rewarded with a lovely shrug that can be worn spring, summer and fall and that will draw attention from knitters and non-knitters alike.
