The Natty Knitter has a new free pattern available, and despite the name Winter Flowers, its a fine choice for knitting and for wearing throughout the year. (The link is to pattern tips; the actual pattern can be found in her sidebar.)
These wooly sock yarn flowers are a fun stash-buster that uses some interesting skills, too. The flowers are knit sideways and shaped with short rows and use what Natty Knitter calls fake grafting because you’re sewing together two edges rather than using live stitches.
They look like a lot of fun and a great little project for vacation knitting and using to add a little knit charm to any outfit, any time of year.
