Sometimes you just want a project that’s easy but maybe doesn’t look as easy as it is. Carissa Browning’s Thisaway Shawl is one of those projects.
It’s a super clever design that uses a variation on an afterthought heel to make it easy to turn your stripes in any direction, no grafting or yarn cutting required. There’s also no purling, and no long cast on or bind off, so it’s a great relaxing and comforting project.
The pattern uses two colors of fingering weight yarn so it’s great for using those fun skeins you haven’t known what to do with.
You can grab the pattern from Ravelry or Payhip.
