The other day I shared about the 10,000 New Knitters project, and now that the big day has happened, the pattern for the mitts that was used in the knitting kit used for the projects has been released for others to use and can be downloaded for free on Ravelry.
They’re a simple, flat knit, Stockinette Stitch mitt that uses about 90 yards of worsted weight yarn.
They’re a great project for a new knitter, whether you’re learning on your own or teaching someone else the basics.
Did you learn to knit over the weekend, or teach someone else? I’d love to hear about it!

What makes a good beach bag? It is a bag that’s big enough to hold everything you need? A replacement for your purse that can get sandy? Something with holes for carrying your shell collection? This roundup of beach bag knitting patterns has a little bit of all of that.
