Crochet definitely has something on knitting when it comes to making amigirumi, fun little objects that look like animals or just about anything else. That’s not to say you can’t knit amigurimi or larger toys or animals, but there seem to be a lot more options out there for the crochet-inclined than the knitters of the world.
Still, I wanted to see if I could find a knit turkey project, and Trevor the Turkey by Trish Roberts does not disappoint.
He’s adorable, colorful and pretty easy to knit because all the pieces are worked flat and seamed together.
At 9 inches tall he’s the perfect accompaniment to your fall decor or a fun project to work on while you’re waiting for the real turkey to cook.

While no one would likely use a knit backpack for school, knitting a backpack is a fun way to show off your knitting skills and carry around your project or everyday essentials instead of using a purse. Check out these cute backpack knitting patterns and stitch one up for your next project.
