The other day I shared a post with a mnemonic device to help you remember how to work the Kitchener stitch.
But even when you know how to do it, it is, admittedly, not a lot of fun.
What if there were a different way to finish your socks?
Of course you could finish them like the top of a hat, but that’s not as smooth as we would like.
Why not try a different sort of grafting on the needles, as described in this post from Interweave?
I’ve never done it, and it still sounds pretty fussy (like Kitchener without a sewing needle), but if you try it I’d love to hear how it works for you.

I have used it many, many times and I love it! So much easier than the Kitchener stitch!
