As much as we would like it to be otherwise, in the northern part of the world it’s still pretty cold a lot of places this time of year. So a Valentine’s Day gift that also helps to keep them warm will definitely be appreciated.
These heart-shaped handwarmers from Cassandra May eliminate the expression “cold hands, warm heart.” And the eliminate some of the frustration of knitting heart shapes because you don’t have to work the top part of the heart in separate pieces.
Just knit two (OK, four, one for each hand) of these little shapes, fill with rice and you’ll have a sweet little gift for anyone who has to spend time outside in the cold. I definitely think these would be great for your favorite teacher who has outdoor duty.
Head to Little Red Window for the pattern.
