Knit a Gnome or a Bunch with these Cute Patterns

December 20, 2020 by Sarah White

If you’re a fan of cute and whimsical knit designs, you’ve probably heard of Susan B. Anderson. She is a renowned knitwear designer known for her adorable knit animals and creatures. One of her most beloved designs is her knit gnomes, which are perfect for adding a touch of magic and charm to your Christmas decor.

Recently, Anderson released a new pattern for her gnomes, which includes instructions for making two different sizes. The first size is a small 4-inch gnome, which is perfect for attaching to a package or hanging on your tree. The second size is a larger 7.5-inch gnome, which can be used as a standalone decoration or as a part of a larger display.

The pattern is easy to follow and suitable for knitters of all skill levels. The gnomes are knit in the round, with a simple stockinette stitch for the body and a combination of increases and decreases to create the pointed hat. The faces are created using simple embroidery techniques, and the beard can be made using either yarn or faux fur.

Knitting a gnome is a fun and satisfying project that can be completed relatively quickly, making it perfect for last-minute Christmas gifts or decorations. And with Anderson’s new pattern, you can now make gnomes in two different sizes, allowing you to customize your display and create a variety of cute and charming characters.

The pattern is available on the Barrett Wool Co. website.

The holiday season is the perfect time to get crafty and start knitting festive decorations or gifts for your loved ones. If you’re looking for some inspiration, there are plenty of great resources available online. One of the best places to find Christmas-themed knitting patterns is Etsy, a popular online marketplace for handmade goods.

On Etsy, you can find a wide variety of Christmas knitting patterns, ranging from classic designs like reindeer and snowmen to more modern and unique creations like miniature Christmas sweaters and knit ornaments. Many of these patterns are available for instant download, so you can get started on your project right away.

In addition to Etsy, Amazon is another great resource for finding Christmas knitting patterns. There are several Christmas knitting pattern books available on Amazon, which contain dozens of patterns for all skill levels. These books often include helpful tips and techniques, as well as full-color photos of the finished projects to help guide you along the way.

Some popular Christmas knitting patterns include stockings, tree skirts, mittens, hats, and scarves. You can also find patterns for holiday-themed dishcloths, coasters, and even knitted advent calendars. With so many options to choose from, you’re sure to find a pattern that suits your skill level and personal taste.

When choosing a Christmas knitting pattern, it’s important to consider your skill level and the time you have available to complete the project. Some patterns may be more challenging than others, and may require more time and attention to detail. It’s always a good idea to read through the pattern carefully before beginning, to ensure that you have all the necessary materials and are familiar with any unfamiliar techniques.

Wrote to the vendor. Their response is that there is no sale, the retail price for this pattern is 7$. Very disappointed . How did this happen?

That post was from last year, maybe the price was less then? I have edited it to remove the price.
