In the fall, my summer knitting (for birthdays and Christmas projects as well as warmer weather items) takes a drastic turn towards lace shawls. If you’ve followed my rantings, you know I’m not a fancy sort, my shawls would be much better suited if they were made from wool and warm. But my eye always goes toward the gorgeous lace and the countless hours that go into each of these creations.
Woodland Woolworks has a whole section devoted to lace, and you can see it here: http://www.woolworks.com/Shop/Knitting/Patterns/Size-0-Lace/Lace
Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
