I love a good headband/ear warmer. I don’t like to wear hats (not because my hair is ever fixed, I just don’t like the feel of something squeezing my head) so a warm headband is a great way for me to at least keep my ears warm and wear an extra bit of knitting.
The Northwind Headband by Ysolda Teague is a great little project to keep your ears warm or to wear instead of a hat with your messy bun.
It’s worked in brioche in the round, making a super thick, squishy and warm piece of knitting without a lot of work.
The pattern calls for aran weight yarn (you could use worsted instead) and is available for free on Ravelry.
