The other day I shared a pattern for a brioche knit hat, and while it’s not quite the same skill, Fisherman’s Rib gives a bit of the look of brioche but is a lot easier to knit.
And like brioche it makes super squishy, warm and comforting fabric, which might be just the thing we need right now.
This Squishy Fisherman’s Rib Knit Blanket from Yarnspirations is an easy introduction to Fisherman’s Rib, and you will definitely have the technique down before the end of this pattern.
It uses just three balls of Bernat Softee Chunky. You can work it all in one color as shown or mix it up with color blocking or stripes. Either way this is the blanket you are going to want to keep on the back of the couch for whenever you need a yarny snuggle.
