Knit a Candy Corn Dog Sweater

October 11, by Sarah White. 1 Comment

I’ve never owned a dog, but if I did, it’s likely I would need to choose one that is tolerant of being dressed up, particularly in adorable knit items like this candy corn dog sweater from Yarnspirations.

It comes in four sizes from a 15-inch to 27-inch chest, and it’s worked in fun stripes just like that iconic and controversial candy.

The yarn used for the original pattern may have been discontinued, but it’s a medium weight yarn so there are lots of great choices (Red Heart Super Saver or Soft are two that are machine washable, which is a must for dog gear).

The pattern was designed by Jodi Lewanda and is available for free on the Yarnspirations website.

Have you ever knit a Halloween costume for your pet? I’d love to hear about it!

That is super cute. My dog hates being cold and loves wearing sweaters and sweatshirts. The hard thing is that he likes to wear them all the time so when we have to take them off he is even colder.
