There’s definitely something to be said for super simple, plain knits for summer tops. They’re on and off the needles fast, and their simplicity kind of goes with the season.
But sometimes it can be fun to add a little something extra to your summer sweater designs, like Tamy Gore did with her Speckles and Spice Top.
This top down, circular yoke, short-sleeved shirt has lots of fun stuff going on, with lots of fun stranded knitting designs (note: colorwork is charted). The design comes in nine sizes and is intended to be cropped and with a generous amount (4 to 6.25 inches) of positive ease.
You can get the pattern on Etsy. it’s $8.

Lots of craft designers are understandably frustrated about the proliferation of AI “designed” patterns and photos of projects that have no basis in reality. People who don’t know how to tell if a project is AI are often also frustrated when they see a picture for something but there’s no pattern because it’s not real, or they buy a pattern that doesn’t actually explain how to make the thing or ends up looking totally different from the picture.
