It’s the perfect time to knit a giant cowl, and this is a great one if you also want to send a little money to a good cause.
The Good Trouble Cowl, designed by Karen Clements of Knit1Designs and modeled by GG in her signature orange, is a fundraiser for Black Lives Matter in Jefferson County, Washington.
Once you have donated you can access the cowl, which is worked in the round in one piece in an openwork rib pattern and jumbo yarn, so it knits up in no time, whether you make yours in orange or your favorite color.
The pattern has already raised more than $3,000 and Karen says the pattern and fundraiser will remain on her site as long as her site exists.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
