It’s getting warmer — and hopefully will stay that way this time! — but it’s still helpful to have a little bit of knitting to throw over your shoulders when the wind picks up or you’re in a place where they’ve turned the air conditioning on already.
Donna from purl3agony recently whipped up a fun little lightweight shawl that’s perfect for this time of year. It’s worked in a couple of different colors in garter stitch, and she worked just two-row stripes so it looks like the colors blend together seamlessly. You could, of course, use wider stripes or even make it a solid color if you wanted to.
It’s a pretty simple triangle with a pretty textured edging worked in a single color once the body of the shawl is done.
Do you carry a shawl or shrug with you this time of year? I know I do. I’d love to hear what’s in your bag.
