Fall is my favorite season, and now is a great time to start knitting projects that are made for those transitional seasons of fall and spring. The Ravishing Vest by Joji Locatelli is a great option to knit and wear now and soon, regardless of what hemisphere you’re in.
Because it’s a vest, and worked in sport weight yarn, it isn’t too heavy to wear while the weather is still warm, but because it’s duster length it will be perfect for wearing over leggings and a top when it’s cooler out.
The textured stitch pattern makes it fun even though it’s a big project (you can always knit a shorter version if you like, too). The pattern comes in 8 sizes up to a 58 inch chest measurement, but it’s meant to be worn open so the sizing is flexible.
You can grab a copy of the pattern on Ravelry.

We’re a big Studio Ghibli household, and while they are sometimes very protective of their copyrights (as evidenced by the number of patterns on Ravelry that were removed from the service when it received a takedown notice back in 2021), there are still a fair number of Totoro knitting patterns (as well as other designs I’m sure we’ll get to someday). Let’s check them out!
