This pattern is super fun. What you’ll love is it’s easy to memorize and moves along quickly. Knit and purl stitches only, no fancy stitches here. Perfect downtime project. Grab your favorite beverage, a Netflix show, and cast on.
The best part is, it’s reversible! This knitted baby blanket pattern has 3 sizes. Each repeat of this pattern is approximately 7 1/4”, so you can add or subtract repeats to get the size you’re looking for. This pattern is made using worsted weight yarn and U.S. size 8/5mm circular needles 24″ long.
Finished sizes: 31″ x 33″ (36″ x 48″, 48″ x 62″).

We’re a big Studio Ghibli household, and while they are sometimes very protective of their copyrights (as evidenced by the number of patterns on Ravelry that were removed from the service when it received a takedown notice back in 2021), there are still a fair number of Totoro knitting patterns (as well as other designs I’m sure we’ll get to someday). Let’s check them out!
