Ok then. When I started to knit (which I don’t even really remember when that was), I knit out-of-the-box stuff like, um, vests. And sweaters. And maybe a scarf or two. But I’ve got to say that never did a neuron come off of my needles. Maybe several hundred have come out of my head while learning the intricacies of lace knitting, but never off the needles.
Now that all can change! Introducing….
Knit A Neuron.
This is based in the UK but face it, since the invention of the inter-webs, it’s really just next door. Knit A Neuron is asking for knitters to knit these up and donate them to be sewn together for a display to raise money for head trauma….. well, they say it better than I can, here: http://www.ooh.com/uk/craft-creative/other/bristol/bristol/knit-a-neuron-3_1901.html
Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
I’d love to knit some and contribute them. Is there a pattern to follow and place to send them? I’m in the US and can’t attend the UK event.
