Whether you’re still decorating for Halloween or are looking for a project that can take you through the fall holiday season, my Pumpkin Spice Pumpkin Bowl pattern over at CraftBits is a great choice.
This simple bowl is worked from the bottom up in a pumpkin spice color rather than Halloween orange, though of course you could go for the brighter color and even stitch on a jack ‘o lantern face if you want to make this a straight-up Halloween project.
As is, though, it can hold Halloween candy and treats for Thanksgiving, or even just some pretty balls of yarn.
Or turn it upside down and it’s actually a perfect hat. Slouchy on a kid or snug on an adult and the perfect color for the season. I love a versatile project!

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
