I love it when patterns I find online actually use yarns that I know and have liked working with.
In the case of the Sprout Cardigan from Classic Elite Yarns, it’s Sprout, an organic cotton yarn that’s got a lot of texture and is really soft and nice to work with. You might be a little surprised that it’s cotton, in fact.
This cardigan, by Susan Mills, has short sleeves and a big shawl collar to make a big impact. The fronts and the collars are worked sideways in garter stitch, so you know this is going to be a great, quick project you’ll be enjoying before the weather gets too hot!

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
