This is the season for big, chunky knits, and infinity scarves are a great way to follow the trend. They’re quick and easy to knit with big yarn, look really dramatic on a large scale and keep you warm with ease. What could be better?
Mama in a Stitch has a great little pattern for a chunky infinity scarf worked with a yarn that has just a little bit of sparkle in it for extra fun.
It uses Stockinette Stitch and a Garter drop stitch pattern for a different texture, but bear in mind that the Stockinette sections will be narrower than the rest. If that will drive you crazy, work Garter Stitch throughout, keeping the drop stitch sections.
This is a project you could easily whip up in a weekend and would be a great gift knitting project. Are you thinking about gift knitting already? I’d love to hear what you’re planning!
