This is a great idea if you have a little one in the Barbie phase, or even a little one who is in the Barbie phase and also learning to knit. I know my little one (who is still on her first Garter Stitch swatch) would love to knit up a scarf for one of her dolls, and this tutorial from Knits’ End shows you just how to do it.
Hers is knit from the long side across and uses Stockinette Stitch, but you could also do Garter Stitch or any other simple stitch pattern you wanted to practice.
This would be a cute addition to the gift of a new doll, or find a bunch of doll knitting patterns and make her a whole little knit wardrobe. Faster than knitting for your kid, for sure.
Have you ever knit Barbie clothes? I’d love to hear about it.
