Triangular shawls are a lot of fun to knit, but they can also feel like they take forever to knit when you start with just a handful of stitches and have to work your way up to the wide side.
I love bulky shawls for this reason, because big yarn and needles make the work go faster. I have a bulky triangle shawl pattern over on About (and you still have time to knit one for the holidays; mine only took three days!) and Bonjour Handmade has a really cute one using heavy wool and a boucle yarn held together.
It’s worked on large needles and uses Seed Stitch, so it comes together really fast and keeps you entertained. (The dark colored, heavily textured yarn used in the sample also hides a lot of mistakes, by the way.)
Add some fun fringe and a funky clasp and you’ve got a great gift or a wrap for yourself that will get you through the changing seasons.
Do you like to knit wraps and shawls? I’d love to hear about your favorite patterns.
