I’m all about summer tops (and sweaters any time of year, let’s be honest) that are super simple in design. I guess I’m more of a product knitter because I want to have the thing I want as soon as I can, I don’t like to get slowed down by fancy design elements.
But I do see the appeal of changing things up from straight Stockinette every now and then.
Take the Maya Top from Gavriella Treminio. It’s a pretty simple tee, worked in fingering weight yarn and available in 7 bust sizes with a cropped length — or stitch it longer if you like! The circular yoke includes bobbles and eyelets to add interest. It doesn’t take much more time or skill to add these elements but it makes a big difference in the look of the project.
You can get this design on Ravelry.
