Circular yoke eyelet sweaters are popular this year, and Saffiyah Talley was inspired by the pictures she was seeing all over social media to knit her own version.
Fast fashion sweaters might be cheap, but they’re super questionable in terms of the labor and environmental impact, and they’re not as well made, well fitting or long lasting as something we could make ourselves.
But handmade sweaters can be fast fashion, too, in a sense. Worsted weight, cropped styles like this one actually don’t take all that long to knit, and using the yarn she used, Pound of Love, you can knit the sweater for about $10.
The pattern is available in eight sizes, from 34 to 62 inches in the chest. You can download it from Ravelry for $8.

But Pound of Love is 100% acrylic so it’s still questionable in terms of environmental impact.
