I’m a big fan of vests for an extra layer of warmth, and the Happy Place Vest by Veera Välimäki is a great one.
This vest is nice and long — just about knee length — with a split hem, textured stitch and turtleneck for extra coziness. It uses a mohair blend yarn and a worsted weight yarn held together for warmth and fuzziness.
It’s available in nine sizes with chest measurements ranging from 40 to 72 inches. It’s meant to be worn with 6 to 8 inches of positive ease.
You can buy this pattern alone or in an ebook version that includes 12 patterns on Ravelry.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
