I think, as knitters, most of us have a soft spot (or maybe a warm spot) in our hearts for the alpaca.
Don’t tell sheep, but they are my favorite fiber-producing animal.
I’d love to have an alpaca in the back yard, but as they probably count as livestock (stupid rules) I’ll probably have to stick with a stitched version like Eli the Alpaca.
Designed by Nicola Riley, he’s a super sweet and pretty easy to work little guy, and the boucle yarn gives him a nice fuzzy texture.
The pattern runs £3, or a little more than $4 as of this writing.
