Susan B. Anderson’s Heart on a String is a really cute idea. It’s a basic hat with a heart worked separately and stitched on in a way that it looks like a balloon. So sweet. (Free, three sizes)
I’m pretty sure I’ve shared From Norway with Love from Pickles before, but it’s such a pretty hat I can’t resist. This one is worked with bands of hearts in five different colors, which makes it a great stash buster, or you could work them all in one color if you’d rather. (Free, one size)
The Ski Style Beanie with Hearts from the Knit Guru is a pretty easy stranded knitting hat with a band of hearts and some other designs. (Free, one size)
Carrie Workman’s Heart Monkey Hat set is super cute and great for a little one with a favorite stuffed animal or doll she’d like to dress like. (Free, sized for child and doll)
The Heart Hat for Baby by Eba Design is a great one for little ones, and is super simple even with the colorwork. I want to steal this chart and make it the band on the bottom of a baby sweater, too. (Free, one size)
Ardent Knitter’s My Slouchy Valentine is another cute option, with bands of colorwork hearts on a big scale. (Free, one size)
Lace lovers will enjoy the Ruby Red Heart Hat from Kristen Ashbaugh-Helmreich. Designed as part of the Stitch Red campaign, it’s a beret with a flower shape on the top and hearts around the sides. (Free, two adult sizes)
Jules Lustenader has another cute hat with different sizes of hearts worked in bands around it. This one is called Hearts on Repeat, and there are some cool variations shown on Ravelry. (Free, sized child to large adult)
I Carry Your Heart by Lindsay Ingram is a beautiful hat with different sizes of hearts on it, and a great shout out to E.E. Cummings, which is great. ($6, one size)
The Little Sweet Heart hat by Melody Rogers is easily the cutest thing I’ve seen today. It’s a simple Stockinette hat with a twist that makes a heart at the top. ($4, sized newborn to 3 years)
If you’re a fan of cables you’ll want to check out the Valentine Cable Hat by Tatsiana Matsiuk, which features interlocking heart cables on the front and smaller braids over the rest of the hat ($4.50, sized one year to adult)
Elena Chen’s Hat with Lacy Hearts is the choice for the lace knitting fan, featuring a band of hearts made with eyelets. ($2.99, one size)
