I love a good tweed yarn for fall, and Knit Picks is inspiring knitters to pick up their City Tweed yarn and knit a sweater. The new City Tweed collection has six patterns that can be purchased individually for $4.99 each or downloaded as a set for $9.99.
There’s a scarf, a cowl, three pullovers and a cardigan in the collection, and they all look like wonderful things to knit and snuggle in as the weather gets cooler. I in particular like the Chevrons Pullover, which uses horizontal bands of triangles for emphasis; and the Stomping Grounds pullover, a relatively easy knit with a lot of stockinette and bands of cables running vertically on the front and back (it’s the one pictured here).
See anything you like? Let me know!

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
