I don’t usually knit socks for other people, but if you really, really love someone who would actually appreciate the amazingness of knit socks, they do make fantastic gifts.
Of course this time of year is also a great time to knit something for yourself.
Self-care and all.
One of my favorite simple but lovely sock knitting patterns is Hermionie’s Everyday Socks by Erica Luder. I knit myself a pair of these in luscious Malabrigo sock yarn and they are definitely one of my favorites.
I recently came across the Business Casual socks from Tanis Gray, and they look like a nice everyday sock with a little something extra, too. Inspired by argyle but a lot less fussy, these socks come in two sizes and are a free download from Tanis’ site.
Do you have a favorite sock knitting pattern? I’d love to hear about it!

I have trouble with getting the Kitchener to not look wonky. So I do toe up. My go to is Wendy’s toe-up socks with a difference
