[tag]Stitchnpitch[/tag] is the brain child of [tag]The National NeedleArts Association[/tag] and was created two years ago. It is now a stable at Big League ballparks. It started in Seattle — folks who [tag]knit[/tag], [tag]crochet[/tag], [tag]embroider[/tag], [tag]cross-stitch[/tag] and [tag]needlepoint[/tag] meet to enjoy a [tag]ballgame[/tag] and their favorite hobby. It has since popped up at [tag]ballparks[/tag] all over the country. A game in Phoenix attracted 1,100 needle art fans, according to Libby Butler-Gluck, a spokeswoman for the association. Seattle drew 2,500, and Los Angeles had some 600.
There is an online calendar of games when stichnpitch events will take place. You can also sign up at the newsletter page to stay informed.
I’m planning on attending the [tag]Detroit Tigers[/tag] event in September. Can’t wait to meet up with other needle artists!
