Lots of people learn better when they have videos to watch rather than trying to translate words and still pictures into actions they make with their own hands. Crochet finally took for me when I hit YouTube and watched over and over how to make the basic moves.
Purl Soho recently introduced a great series of knitting videos, starting with basic increases and decreases: knit in the front and back and make one right and left, knit two together and slip, slip knit.
The videos are clean and pretty and take just a few minutes to watch to help build your knitting skills. Check them all out on their video page.

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
