You’ve probably seen wavy stitch patterns like Feather and Fan/Old Shale before. These patterns combine increases and decreases unevenly spaced across a row in such a way that it creates a wave in the stitches.
What these patterns have in common is that they’re typically worked in a Garter Stitch type pattern, but this version uses Stockinette and is called, by knittingstitches.org, anyway, Stockinette Chevron.
(I’d call it Stockinette Wave, but that’s just me.)
This is so pretty in multicolored yarn and would be great for all sorts of projects. Though I assume like regular Stockinette it will curl.
Has anyone used this stitch before? I’d love to hear more about it!

Can you, please, tell which kind of yarn is used in this stockinette chevron-pattern? Would like to buy it.
Regards,
Ingrid

It’s gorgeous, isn’t it? The page doesn’t say but I think it’s some kind of multicolored yarn and a solid that are switched every couple of rows.
