Whether you’re new to changing colors in your knitting or have a bunch of scraps you want to use up quickly, the Brightside Cowl from Elizabeth Smith Knits is a great little project.
It’s worked in Garter Stitch and changes colors often. You can use the same colors throughout for a repeating pattern or use up all your little odd balls of bulky (or try two strands of worsted held together) for a project that’s sure to chase away the winter blues.
It’s a nice sized cowl as written but you could make it even bigger if you wanted to wrap it around your neck a few times (or use a lot of yarn!).
The pattern costs $5 and you can get it at her website or Ravelry.
