Berroco Yarns has been adding to its video tutorial section and recently added a video that covers some of the basic decreases commonly used in the company’s (and other people’s) patterns.
The three-minute video covers knit 2 together, knit 2 together, slip, slip knit and slip, slip, slip knit. I’ll admit I don’t use those double decreases that often (mostly because I don’t knit lace much) but the other two I use pretty much every day that I knit, so you’ll want to have them in your arsenal if you don’t know them already.
Do you have a favorite decrease? I default to k2tog most of the time because it’s so quick and easy, but I’d love to know if you have a preference!
Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
