Last summer Lily (the makers of Sugar’n Cream cotton yarn) did a series of new free washcloth patterns, both knit and crochet, that it promoted throughout the summer.
This time around I got a single email with several different patterns I thought I’d share (these are all PDFs)
Washcloths and dishcloths are great summer projects because they’re small and portable. Plus, if you get a little sand on your project you can just throw it in the washer! 100 % cotton yarn

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
I love to knit wash cloths and dish cloths…my favorite pattern is Chinese waves put out by Lily.
