It seems like we knitters can never have too many stitch markers. I know I have some that I’ve made, some that were made for me, other that I’ve purchased, and I still never seem to be able to find them (or enough of them, anyway) when I need them.
If you’re in the market for some lovely stitch markers, why not make them yourself? Miss P uses broken jewelry and simple tools to make her DIY stitch markers, which are cleverly shaped by slipping them on the needle for proper sizing. (Which means you’ll need to make a few for your larger needles and some for your smaller needles as well.)
Have you even made stitch markers? I can say from experience that it’s a lot of fun, and I think it actually makes using them more fun when they’re pretty. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I like this idea – looks like you could add a drop of glue to the inside & work the ends to be in the beads, so no sharp edges… may have to make some like this!

I’ve never made my own stitch markers before; it seems like a great idea!
