The other day I shared a hat decorated with pastel hearts that looked like conversation hearts. If you want a more literal translation of candy into knitting, check out the message heart pillow knitting pattern from Vickie Howell.
This giant heart shaped pillow can be decorated with chain stitch embroidery to spell out a word. You could also make a long I-cord and use it to “write” in cursive on top of the pillow, if you wanted.
The pattern calls for super bulky yarn so you can knit it up in no time for your holiday decor or to leave a message for someone special.
Grab the free pattern from Vickie’s blog.

It feels like it’s too early to be thinking about back to school, but as I write this my daughter has just a couple of weeks of summer left! So let’s get in that school and fall knitting spirit by looking at some apple knitting projects.
