The good people at Sterling Publishing sent me a copy of Knit Your Own Moustache a few months ago, and I finally got around to giving it a look. It’s such a fun book! It includes 20 knit and crochet patterns for moustaches, animal ears, funny hats, beards and other accessories you can make to disguise yourself.
These would be perfect for low-effort Halloween costumes (because they’re all pretty easy to knit and crochet, though there’s some assembly involved in most of them) and I also love the idea of creating a bunch of these accessories for a photo booth.
I whipped up the handlebar moustache and used a knitting needle to display it instead of the elastic called for in the book. This was a really quick and easy project that I completed in less than an hour.
This book is so much fun for dress up, costumes or whenever you want to go incognito or expect you’ll need to make a quick escape!
If this looks like fun to you, stay tuned for a giveaway next week…

Fall will be here before we know it, and that means there are holidays coming right behind where we might be entertaining at home. It’s always fun to have a hand knit touch in your home for other people to see, and if you’re going to be in the kitchen all day you might as well have some nice knit dish cloths to use.
