Theyrrrrrr’e baaaaack. The 80’s-90’s hair essential, the scrunchie, seems to have made its way back into pop-fashion culture. Since we’re all at home with pandemic hair, that can likely use a little wrangling, this seems as good of a time as any to dive into our yarn leftovers and get to knitting and crocheting our own version of scrap bin scrunchies.
Grab a free pattern for scrunchies you can make from leftover bits of yarn from Vickie Howell. She has knit and crochet versions so you can try both if you like.

Not too long ago I did a test knit for another designer that was for a cabled cardigan. It’s really cozy and nice but it just about broke me in a ton of different ways. I couldn’t get gauge, which I suppose is my own problem, but mainly I was somehow both bored and forced to pay attention at the same time.
