Lion Brand Yarn debuted a new feature on its blog today: Crafter Stories. They’re user-produced tales about the good things we’ve seen and done thanks to yarn crafting in public.
The first story is about relying on the kindness of strangers to get a project finished on the subway.
You can share your story at the bottom of the page and possibly be featured on the blog in the future. Sounds like fun!
The first story that popped into my head was from the Arkansas Fiber Arts Extravaganza, which I attended in December. There was a big cheerleading competition happening in the building at the same time, and one of the girl’s grandmothers was wandering around the building when she stumbled upon us. What fabulous luck for her, as she took a seat, pulled out her crochet and enjoyed company that was a little more her speed for an hour or so.
(Of course if you have stories you want to share here, I’d love to hear them, too!)
